Join us for an insightful interview with Mr. Rajesh Rathi, Managing Director of GasTech, as we explore how innovative Dual Fuel Systems of GasTech are leading the charge in environmental sustainability. Learn about the companies vision for a greener future, its efforts in research and development, and its strategies for meeting the evolving demands of sustainable energy solutions.
Can you discuss GasTech's role in contributing to environmental sustainability through its Dual Fuel Kits, and how the company envisions its impact on the future of green energy solutions?
GasTech offering of Dual Fuel Kits for Diesel Generator applications helps reduce harmful particulate emissions by an average of 65%. Gas Tech is working towards developing a Dual Fuel Kit for Diesel prime movers in Off-Road applications. The proposed system will be primarily applicable to mining applications.
With the increasing emphasis on carbon neutrality, how does GasTech foresee the demand for Dual Fuel Kits evolving in the coming years, and what strategies is the company implementing to capitalize on this trend?
The government has targeted to increase the share of natural gas in the primary energy mix in India from the current 6.5% to 15% by 2030; the planned CGD network (293 GA's) will cover 86% of India's Geographical area / 96% of its population. India's NCAP programme, launched in 2019, aims at reducing ambient PM pollution levels in 131 non-attainment cities from 24 states and union territories. GasTech foresees a continuation of strong demand for Dual Fuel Kits in NCR and the identified non-attainment cities as the CGD network proliferates. GasTech is proactive in interfacing with pollution control boards and CGD companies to provide particulate mitigation technology.
Could you share some insights into GasTech's research and development efforts aimed at enhancing the efficiency and eco-friendliness of its Dual Fuel Kits, and how these innovations align with future market needs?
The proposed technological developments of a Dual fuel system for Off-Road applications will support equipment in the Mining and Quarrying sector, where, in the year 2021-22, 1,850,000 kilolitres of diesel were consumed; LNG is proposed as an alternate fuel.
In your opinion, what role do Dual Fuel Kits play in the broader transition towards cleaner energy sources, and how does GasTech position itself as a key player in this transition?
Electrical power Availability and quality have improved considerably, reducing the usage of Backup power Genset by Industries / Commercial Establishment / Housing Societies. Dual Fuelling provides Emission reduction & Fuel cost savings at a Low initial investment. GasTech technology is accepted by both OE and customers. The systems under development agnostic of fuel will enable GasTech to seamlessly dovetail to newer, cleaner energy sources like hydrogen/hydrogen blended fuel.
As the market dynamics shift towards sustainable energy solutions, how does GasTech adapt its business strategies to meet customers' evolving needs and stay ahead of the curve?
GasTech proposes to continuously interface with and work with the OE manufacturers, who play a major role in providing maintenance and repair support for their offerings, to innovate and enhance the efficiency and safety of its technology.
Can you elaborate on GasTech's collaborations and partnerships within the green energy ecosystem, and how these alliances contribute to the company's vision for a greener future?
I reaffirm that GasTech collaborates closely with the City Gas Distributors, Oil Marketing companies involved in LNG marketing, and Pollution Control boards to implement National Clean Air objectives.
How does GasTech address concerns about the scalability and widespread adoption of Dual Fuel Kits, particularly in industries with significant carbon footprint, and what measures are being taken to overcome these challenges?
GasTech has invested in capacity enhancement by opening new production and storage facilities across India over the last few years. We firmly believe in continuous skill enhancement for our team and our customers.
Looking ahead, what potential innovations or advancements in Dual Fuel technology is GasTech exploring to further enhance its environmental and economic benefits?
GasTech is working on optimizing Dual Fuel Kits for other kinds of diesel engines, except generators. Diesel engines are used extensively in mining, marine, railways, ports, etc., and generate significant emissions. This will ensure a reduction in operating costs and harmful emissions.
What are your thoughts on the role of government policies and incentives in driving the adoption of Dual Fuel Kits and other sustainable energy solutions, and how does GasTech engage with policymakers to advocate for supportive measures?
GasTech feels that all state pollution control boards should replicate the stringent and effective measures taken by CAQM to ensure that the National Clean Air objectives are attained; they need to be proactive.
Finally, could you share your vision for GasTech's role in shaping the future of energy consumption and environmental stewardship, and the company's commitment to driving positive change in the years to come?
GasTech has been the industry leader in providing dual fuel solutions for high-capacity diesel engines. We will continue to work on more such applications to reduce emissions and provide environmental benefits.
